Message from the CEO
Startup School Launch
"I never lose. I either win or learn." Nelson Mandela. This statement resonated with me for the longest time when I first heard of it. Before the Start-Up School, my fear of failure took its peak, fretting about what other people would say rather than how I would bounce back from the situation. Perhaps, this is how we are conditioned by society, where winning is considered good and losing is the worst thing that could ever happen to you. Thanks to the Start-Up School, not only did I learn about the importance of failure, but also other important lessons such as situational awareness, vision, purpose, competencies, and my personal favourite, breaking out of the matrix.
It is a cultural phenomenon, which has been happening post-Independence in India. Rather than taking risks, people wanted to have a stable job and support their families for generations to come. Times change, but so does the world. The Start-Up School provides us with a platform to voice our thoughts, listen and learn. Thank you, Start-Up School, for teaching me that failure is the first giant leap to success!
